Large End Grain Cutting Board FAST VERSION / Music from SNOWSCHOOL

During this episode of Second Son Woodworks, I make a giant (massive, large, huge) end grain cutting board with maple hardwood. BE AWARE RUNNING END GRAIN BOARDS THROUGH A PLANER IS DANGEROUS AND OFTEN NOT ADVISED. DO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This end grain cutting board isn't perfect, but it is certainly unique. It will make for a beautiful addition to someone's kitchen. The entire board size is 24 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 2 inches thick; there is lots of room on this board for cutting and dividing chopped produce and meats. So excited about this project! Since I only have a 12 1/2" Dewalt Benchtop Planer, I had to make two separate sections of the board that could fit into the planer. Then, I glued these two sections together after they were smoothed. There was a bit of a warp in the board after the two pieces were glued together, so, I had to use an electric hand planer to plane down two of the underside corners. Then, I used four rubber feet, two of which were inset into the board, to make sure that the board would sit flat on a counter top. This DIY hack worked out so well!

The music in this episode is by SNOWSCHOOL, my brother's music project. Good stuff right? Comment if you like it! Make sure to check out his stuff on Spotify, Apple, and or wherever you get your tunes.
